Hair cutting! – I cut my curly hair, and I’m not mad

Hello everyone! Not that long ago I made a post about cutting curly hair and I thought that I would quickly share that with you guys here on my website! First of all here is my You Tube video for it!

And second, here are the YouTube videos I followed!

If you guys want to take the time to cut your curly hair here is a list of items you need.

  1. Mirror
  2. Hand Mirror
  3. Hair scissors
  4. Clips or hair ties

To do this haircut you will need to divide up your hair by sectioning it off into a four different sections. First I would recommend using your natural part because that is actually how you’re going to wear it!

Next I want you to split your hair from behind your ear to the top of your head where your part is on both sides. You should now have 4 chunks of hair. Clip or ties them so that they don’t move

Next you are going to work one section at a time starting at the front. Finger comb your hair straight up. Then bring it across your head. Now turn your hand so that it is angled away from your head at 45 degrees and he says cut 3 fingers in the video but I did less 🙂 Do this for both sides of the front of your head

Next we are going to tackle the back of your head. Take one chunk and finger comb it up. Now bring it across your head and to your opposite eyebrow. at about 45 degrees and cut again he says 3 fingers but I did less.

All that is left now is for you to clean up any stray curls. This will primarily be in the back of your head. So now you need to pull out your hand mirror to see. Pick out individual curls that are too long and cut them to the right length. Cut until you have the shape that you like.

And that’s it! Your haircut is done! I hope this works well for you! Happy haircutting!

How to Cut Your Curly Hair

Section Your Hair

  • Start with your natural part, since that’s how you’ll wear it. (That’s how I did it)
  • Create four sections by parting from behind each ear to the top of your head.
  • Clip or tie each section so they stay separate.

Cut the Front Sections

  • Take one front section and finger comb it straight up.
  • Bring it across your head, then tilt your hand so that it is angled away from your head at a 45-degree angle.
  • In the video, they suggest cutting about three fingers’ worth, but I did less!
  • Repeat on the other front section.

Cut the Back Sections

  • Take one back section, finger comb it up, and bring it up and across to your opposite eyebrow.
  • Tilt your hand at a 45-degree angle Turn your hand so that it is angled away from your face and cut (again, I did less than three fingers).
  • Repeat for the other back section.

Clean Up Stray Curls

  • Use a hand mirror to check the back of your head.
  • Trim any longer curls to achieve the shape you like.

And that’s it! Your haircut is done. I hope this works well for you—happy hair cutting! ✂️😊
