Easy Strawberry Syrup Recipe

Super Easy Tasty Strawberry Syrup that you can make in just 15 minutes
Prep Time 15 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Servings: 16 Servings
Course: Drinks

Ingredients

  • 1 lbs Fresh strawberries Or 10 oz frozen
  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup Drinking water
  • 1 cup Cane Sugar

Equipment

  • Juice Press (or a food processor and sieve) Mine is a cast iron manual juicer that you can find on amazon

Method

Prep your fruit
  1. Wash fresh strawberries and take green heads off leaving as much fruit as possible. Or thaw frozen strawberries.
If using a juice press
  1. Take a clean juicing bag and dampen lightly with clean drinking water, place strawberries inside. Press strawberries in a manual juice press turning and folding the bag over and over to get out as much juice as possible.
If using a food processor
  1. Place strawberries in a food processor and purée until very fine. Strain out pulp with a sieve. Note: you may have to puree more strawberries in order to get the same amount of juice.
Add Water
  1. You should have about 1 cup of strawberry juice, add water until you have 1 and 1/4 cups of liquid. Do not add any more than 1/3 a cup of water or your syrup may be flavorless. If you do not have 1 and 1/4 cup of liquid that is ok your syrup will be just a touch sweeter.
Add Sugar and dissolve
  1. Add strawberry mixture and sugar to a pan and heat on low just until the sugar is dissolved. Don’t cook it for too long as we want to retain the fresh berry flavor.
Storage
  1. Allow to cool and store in a container of you choice in the fridge.
  2. Add 1-3 TBSP to a drink of your choice and enjoy!
