Method
Prep your fruit
- Wash fresh strawberries and take green heads off leaving as much fruit as possible. Or thaw frozen strawberries.

If using a juice press
- Take a clean juicing bag and dampen lightly with clean drinking water, place strawberries inside. Press strawberries in a manual juice press turning and folding the bag over and over to get out as much juice as possible.
If using a food processor
- Place strawberries in a food processor and purée until very fine. Strain out pulp with a sieve. Note: you may have to puree more strawberries in order to get the same amount of juice.
Add Water
- You should have about 1 cup of strawberry juice, add water until you have 1 and 1/4 cups of liquid. Do not add any more than 1/3 a cup of water or your syrup may be flavorless. If you do not have 1 and 1/4 cup of liquid that is ok your syrup will be just a touch sweeter.

Add Sugar and dissolve
- Add strawberry mixture and sugar to a pan and heat on low just until the sugar is dissolved. Don’t cook it for too long as we want to retain the fresh berry flavor.

Storage
- Allow to cool and store in a container of you choice in the fridge.

- Add 1-3 TBSP to a drink of your choice and enjoy!
